A StarBox trainee's perspective: Eloise
Eloise has been working as a trainee accountant at StarBox since September 2024 and works in the Worthing office, whilst also training for her ACCA qualification.
What’s something interesting or surprising that you’ve learned about the digital creator industry since joining StarBox?
One of the most interesting things I’ve learned about the digital creator industry since joining StarBox is how rapidly the industry evolves. The industry is constantly changing with new platforms, influences and trends emerging all the time.
It’s surprising how quickly digital creators have to adapt to stay relevant. For example, the use of analytics and AI allow creators to tailor their content to specific audiences which enhances views and interactions. Equally, the recent rise of short video clips has shifted how creators engage with their audience.

Can you share one experience so far that made you realise how unique this line of work is?
Learning about the different revenue streams that a digital creator can have, made me realise how unique this line of work is. Creators often have multiple income streams such as sponsorships, merchandise, ads and affiliate marketing. This means we must approach our work in a more dynamic and flexible way so that we can adapt to changes and develop financial strategies that align with our clients’ goals.
This is very different in comparison to traditional clients who may have more common and conventional revenue streams. Furthermore, digital creators may face complex tax situations, especially if they earn income from different countries. They need specialised advice to navigate tax laws and optimise their tax liabilities.
